  1. That's not true you base on Ibn Ishaq s stuff heavily edited by ibn Hisham and available in 802CE.
    Hadith suggests otherwise.
Even then there's nothing in Quran that makes it outstanding
    Errors
    Contradictions
    Arabs interprete differently
    Overshadowed by Hadith in interpretations.
    Incomplete passages
Stories from former people's and some myths
As the supposed final revelation it has not dved sectarianism and not stall any clear way

  2. Even if we assume that Muhammad was so lazy that he didn't bother with learning how to read or write for those fourty years, one didn't need to know how to read or write in the time and society of Muhammad, because the written language wasn't popular in the first place, and the regular people applied to the oral method of communication instead, also amongst the regular Christians and Jews, so the supposed illiteracy of Muhammad is a terrible excuse, for naive people.

  4. He is stupid The word Ummi Which is mentioned In Quran doesnt Mean he is illiterate it means he wasnt taught at a formal institution but he was taught by Allah and The Angel Jibraael why would allah leave his prophet Mohammad (SAWS) an illiterate when he was his Messenger..

  5. I personally believe Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was literate. There are hadiths supporting this point nonetheless Quran is the biggest evidence, the First word was Read; of course if he did not know how to read he wouldn't be told to read Allah is Wise and he guided and tested His messenger He knows everything about His messenger shouldn't Allah know if His Messenger was illiterate? and secondly we learn from the Quran how Allah trains his messengers from a young age teaching them through his guidance( putting Musa (SA) in to Royal family letting him learn from the insiders how the government works and witnessing corruption of the pharaoh firsthand) and putting them in trials in difficult situations testing them (Yusuf As, Ayub AS and other's stories) to prepare them for their community. Thirdlly in Islam we know that Allah's first creation beside the Throne on water is the pen and the tablet where He wrote about everything how things are going to work, all the knowledge and that tablet where He wrote is stored nobody knows what's in it except Allah (Subahanallah). Knowing these things first instinct is Muhammad was literate and educated if he was not literate through conventional education then he must have been through Allah's miracle of making him able to read and write because Allah definitely taught his Messengers and Allah himself proclaiming to the believers of His messenger (subahan Allah) (example 1 Yusus (SA) being able to read and interpret Dreams example 2 Musa (SA) able to use his stick to turn into snakes there are so many examples this question would too long ). Coming to hadith explanation there are multiple recordings such as Muhammad (SA) writing letters, reading letters,
signing conventions; It's been a relief to see some scholars accept it and some might take time to accept it when evidences become clearer. I believe in the Quran "leave those things that you don't understand to the experts".
