Assalamu Alaikum,
​I need an urgent fatwa regarding my marriage based on the Quran and Sunnah.
​The Situation:
My husband lives abroad. One year ago, during a phone call, he became extremely angry and said "Talaq, Talaq, Talaq" about 3 to 6 times in that same single call (one sitting). A few moments later, he realized his mistake and felt very guilty. He does not want to break our marriage and wants to stay with me.
​My Questions:
​Since he said it 3-6 times in one sitting (one phone call), has our marriage ended permanently (3 Talaqs), or can we still be together?
​This happened one year ago. He is coming back to the country in a few days. Can we reunite and start our life again?
​Do we need to perform a New Nikah (remarriage) when he returns?
​Please guide us so we can take the right decision.
