  1. The way of holding hands (القبض) in prayer according to the sunnah is clearly explained from the hadiths and practices of the Companions:

The way of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم):

    1. The left hand is placed below*, the *right hand is placed above it.

    2. The position:
    — It is placed *on the chest*, not on the abdomen or too low.
    — The right hand holds the left hand, and the fingers encircle the left hand.

The methods mentioned in the hadith:

    – *Hadith*:
« كان النبي ﷺ ضعد الإيمنى على اليسرى في الصلاة »
"The Prophet ﷺ used to place his right hand on his left hand during prayer."
    — (Bukhari)

    – A companion said: *"He would place them together on his chest."*.

The two known ways of holding the right hand:

    1. The fingers of the right hand embrace the entire left hand up to the elbow.
    2. Or just the fingers of the right hand *joined with the fingers of the left hand*, and placed on the area below the chest. Is this hadith unique?
