السلام علیکم ورحمتہ اللّٰہ وبرکاتہ

Is Allāh really the light❓

Allāh is not light, Allāh is Noor❗
Allāh is not light, but light is a creation of Allāh. The Qur'an also describes Allāh as an indescribable reality or a being that cannot be encompassed in words, and it is not possible to find an adequate example for Him in human language.

That is why Allāh says in the Qur'an:

"Do not invent examples for me".
[Al-Qur'aan 16:74]

Similarly, Qur'aan also told that angels are made of Noor or light,
so the Creator and the creature cannot be one.❗

If Allāh is not light, then what is the light of guidance mentioned repeatedly in the Qur'an❓
Let us first study some proofs mentioned in the Quran to understand this.

"All praise is for Allāh Who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet the disbelievers set up equals to their Lord ˹in worship˺."
[Al-Qur'aan 6:1]

"Indeed, We revealed the Torah, containing guidance and light, by which the prophets, who submitted themselves to Allāh, made judgments for Jews. So too did the rabbis and scholars judge according to Allāh’s Book, with which they were entrusted and of which they were made keepers. So do not fear the people; fear Me! Nor trade my revelations for a fleeting gain. And those who do not judge by what Allāh has revealed are ˹truly˺ the disbelievers."
[Al-Qur'aan 5:44]

"Then in the footsteps of the prophets, We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah revealed before him. And We gave him the Gospel containing guidance and light and confirming what was revealed in the Torah—a guide and a lesson to the God-fearing."
[Al-Qur'aan 5:46]

"Allāh is the Guardian of the believers—*He brings them out of darkness and into light.* As for the disbelievers, their guardians are false gods who lead them out of light and into darkness. It is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever."
[Al-Qur'aan 2:257]

"But We have made it(Qur'aan) a light, by which We guide whoever We will of Our servants. And you are truly leading ˹all˺ to the Straight Path."
[Al-Qur'aan 42:52]

"Allāh is the light of the heavens and the earth, the example of his light is like a lamp in a niche, the lamp is in a glass lamp, the lamp is like a star shining like a pearl, it is lit by a blessed olive tree, it is not towards the east and Nor is its oil in the west near enough to be illuminated, even though it has not been touched by fire. It is light. Allāh guides whomever He wills to the path of His light, and He narrates examples for Allāh, and Allāh is All-Knowing."
[Al-Qur'aan 24:35]

Thus the verse would also mean: Allāh is the light of the whole universe. Light is something which makes things visible; which is itself manifest and helps make other things manifest. The human mind conceives light in this very sense. Absence of light is termed darkness, invisibility and obscurity.

Let us now present here the Nicene Creed of Christianity to make this discussion more interesting and to increase your knowledge.😉😌
This belief was compiled in the year 325 during the reign of Emperor Constantine and today it is considered as the agreed belief of Christianity. The purpose of presenting this belief here is that the readers can see for themselves that the self-made belief of Noor نور مِنَ اللّٰہ, which has been forcefully included in Islam today, is actually based on Christianity.

We believe in one God,
Who is the Almighty Father,
He is the Creator of all things,
outward and inward,
And one God, in Jesus Christ,
Who is the Son of God,
The only begotten of God,
That is, from the essence of the Father,
God to God,
Light to light,
Ain God to Ain God,
Be born, not made,
From the essence of the Father,
And through whom all things in the heavens and the earth came into existence,
The things that are in the heavens,
And those who are in the earth,
Who came down in human form for our salvation,
It hurts,
Then he woke up on the third day,
And was taken up into the heavens,
And he will return,
To judge the living and the dead,
And we believe in the Holy Spirit۔

And now let us look at a false hadith which is used by Sufism and all the sects connected with it as proof of the belief in Noor نور مِنَ اللّٰہ to maintain the cover of a secret transfer of power from one follower of the Murshid to another.

It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah that I said:

"O Messenger of Allāh, may my parents sacrifice to you, tell me what was the first thing that Allāh created. He said, O Jabir, verily Allāh Almighty created the light of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) with His light before all creatures. He used to visit wherever God wanted with the light of divine power. At that time, the tablet and pen, paradise, hell, angels, heaven, earth, sun, moon, man, there was nothing. Then when Allāh Almighty wanted to create creation.Say four parts of this light, first the pen, second the tablet, third the throne, then divide the fourth into four parts.He made hell then made four parts of the fourth."

According to this false tradition, the first creation of Allāh was the light of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). Now go back up and read the Christian faith and see how similar the two faiths are. Today, what is the point of this false belief that almost every sect claims that Adam pbuh was not the first creation, but Muhammad was the first creation and the first prophet of God. Not only this, but in this way, the difference between the creator and the creature was abolished from the very beginning, that is, everything in the universe, the sun, the moon, the stars, the birds, the human beings are all made of the light of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and the light of the Prophet Made of God's light. Please tell me that there can be a greater slander on the person of Allāh Ta'ala than this❓
And all this was done only by these Sufis to prove the truth of their talismanic achievements, i.e. Kashf and Karamat, and then a new religion of Tariqat was invented, based on the false belief of Oneness and Solitude.

In the end, it's just that Allāh is a reality that cannot be described in words, nor should we try to do so. Similarly, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was also a human being and his characteristic was that Allāh chose him as his last Prophet and Messenger to carry the message of religion to completion. He lived an excellent life and then his death also happened according to the requirements of humanity and now his soul does not roam in his grave or in the world but in the highest place of heaven.

Allāh says:

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

[Al-Qur'aan 112:4]

Very well explained by Dr Zakir 👍👍You can read Arabic that's mandatory that I think because you can read Quran if you know how to read it. Other languages you can use to understand it. But the person who is newly converted to Islam they can memorize some part of the Quran so they can pray Salah. And for reading the Quran they will definitely find in their own language for easiness
