According to ahlulbayth it was revealed a few days after arafah at ghadeer khum place, after the farewell sermon of the prophet Mohammad.. last will.. declared his successor imam Ali (s) that he is the master maula to lead after prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) passes away.
