23:12 I come from a Catholic family, but I recently became interested in Islam. I have been praying, reading the Qur'an, learning about the religion, listening to lectures, and now observing Ramadan. Nonetheless, I often wonder why I never had this much interest in the religion I was born into. And just now that I am writing, I realized that it is because, although my family believes, we were never really involved, but it also really never clicked with me. I never believed in saints or the way Jesus (pbuh) is perceived as God. I guess my question is, how would you, as parents, feel if your children came up to you one day and told you they believe another religion resonates better with them? I don't know how to fully express it, but sometimes I feel as if I am betraying my family.
