There is no such thing as halaal mortgage. Money is created using debt with interest at its roots. Modern money since thr creation of central banks and end of bretton woods system is no longer is backed by gold 1:1.

There is no answer to the real questions here. No one has 4 rich uncles to dip a 100k each.. most of our uncles are in the middle east struggling to make a dollar.. the. You either commit and participate in the major sin of Riba.. or make Hejra.. or alternatively rent forever simple as that.. the interviewers are not asking the real questions that we all seek…. 😢

This was an amazing insight Masha’Allah and Jazak’Allah Onepath Network team and of course the Shaykh for such a wonderful session. It is high time that we Muslims should start normalize talking more and more about the ills of current financial system not just for the Muslims but for the collective mankind. It’s sad to see hardly any jummmah khutba surrounding this issue here in Canada. But I believe more we will talk about it and practically work towards it, we’ll come out with a concrete solution Insha’Allah.
