  1. Salamu Alaikum Brother Dr. Zakir Naik. You dont know me, you have never met me, and I dont think I have ever commented before. However, I am moved to mention that I started researching Islam in July 2010, I watched many of your videos and did my own research, and in January 2011, I took Shahadda. I lived in a small town, (probably more cows than people) and I never even had met a muslim in person before, yet with Allah's grace and mercy, you played a very important role in my revertion. The point is, your reach goes far and wide, in places you would never expect, and you do not even know. May Allah swt bless you with all that is good and reward you greatly for all your efforts and hard work. Aameen.

  3. Ar-Rum 30:32
    مِنَٱلَّذِينَفَرَّقُواْدِينَهُمۡوَكَانُواْشِيَعٗاۖكُلُّحِزۡبِۭبِمَالَدَيۡهِمۡفَرِحُونَ٣٢
    ˹like˺ those who have divided their faith and split into sects, each rejoicing in what they have.
    ————
    Those who have divided their faith and split into sects, each rejoicing in what they have" means that a group of people have broken away from a unified belief system, forming different factions or sects, and each individual group is happy with their own specific interpretation of the faith, even if it differs from the others, essentially celebrating their own unique perspective without considering the larger unity of the belief system.

    Key points to understand this phrase:
    * Division in faith:
The core idea is that the original belief system has been fractured into multiple smaller groups, each with its own set of practices and interpretations.

    * Sects:
These smaller groups are called "sects," which often implies a deviation from the established norms or interpretations of the faith.

    * Rejoicing in what they have:
Each individual sect is content with its own understanding and practices, even if it creates division within the broader religious community.

    Example application:
    * Imagine a religious community where different groups emerge, each with a slightly different interpretation of scriptures or rituals, and each group is satisfied with their own approach without actively trying to unify with the others.

    —————————
    Islam is divided into many groups, or sects, based on differences in interpretation of Islamic law and history. The exact number of groups is difficult to determine, but some say there are 73 sects.

    Main branches of Islam (Members of Sufi orders)
    * Sunni Islam: The largest branch of Islam, making up around 85–90% of Muslims.

    * Shia Islam: Makes up around 10–15% of Muslims. The Shia–Sunni divide originated from disagreements over the succession to Muhammad.

    * Khawarij: A third branch that predates the other two, but is mostly of historical significance.

    Other groups and sects

    * Whabbi: A sect of Islam
    * Salafi: A sect of Islam
    * Berelvi: A sect of Islam
    * Sufi: A sect of Islam
    * Deobandi: A sect of Islam
    * Hanifite: A type of practitioner of Islam
    * Malikite: A type of practitioner of Islam
    * Shafi'ite: A type of practitioner of Islam
    * Hanbalite: A type of practitioner of Islam
