How very, very shocking and sad for you and all those who love him.
But I am so sure that his kindness is being acknowledged by Allah swt for all he did before he passed away. He was put on this earth for very good reasons, of which I have no doubt either. I therefore believe Allah swt is now caring for him forever.
My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and family, who I’m sure will be reunited with him one day.

Inalilahi waina ileyhi rajiun
The only thing guaranteed is death. Never forget always repent after a sin. Always repeat SubhanAllah wa bihamdhi SubhanAllahl adheem it's heavy on the scale. Learn ayatul kursi and use it at the end of your 5 fard Salah nothing will stop you from entering jannah if you do this. If you miss one Salah repent and always do the next one.
DO dua for your parents and always answer there call. And always thank Allah and never ever forget to learn about the prophet muhammad pbuh. If you realise you did something from culture which is a bida an innovation stop doing it. If there's something you don't understand in Islam don't do it Allah will not punish you for you not understanding something. Do only what you're able to do. And as the prophet muhammad pbuh said, take care of one another. That's how easy it is to enter jannah
