In our final episode of “Muslims Explored,” we connected locally with Maria, 16-year old teenager from South-West Sydney who is legally blind.
Despite being diagnosed with a rare condition – which will lead to eventual blindness – she continues to exceed expectations – beginning university at the age of 15 years, actively participating in the community and continuing her pursuit of sacred knowledge. She hasn’t let anything stop her!
More importantly, she sees the world through a different perspective, through a lens of trust, contentment and gratitude in her Lord, Allah.
Her story’s inspiring those around her and hopefully her story will inspire you too!

my children grew black eyed on top after I had a mother of them that had black eyed on top above the black iris in the middle of humans, well they didnt go blind gladly… but Im afraid if they try to pass this to green eyed or blue eyed they might go blind as it might turn to green eyed or blue eyed on top and that would make them either see blue green or nothing… i myself are red brownish greenish eyed it changed overwhile if my eyes want go darker it goes more red brownish lol… but my mobile phone cant show my eye color or my skin color so it shows white shadowed skin and black eye which I dont have lol… will buy a new mobile phone that can take my colors in 3-4 years when all european phones are sanctioned to bring in phones that can have battery removal without using any tools like mine I already have for 4 years so 3 years to go before I can see with my own phone my colors lol…

The scholars have said that there are a people who have found paradise on earth through contentment in Allah (swt). There are a people on this earth that when they are in the middle of a huge storm, there is a calm inside of them. Muslims, without doubt, due to their tremendous faith, certainly are a special people built differently to the rest of mankind, for they utter a set of words that carry them through this life onto the next.
