What you said is in other scripture not mention in Al Quran. Maybe no image because their eye got 'the wall' (hijab eye) which not open. Let me state my opinion.
In Surah Al Qasas, 88. And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face. His is the judgement and to Him you will be returned.
Which mean, Allah exist with His Face, but cant see Him because the light of Allah will made you blind. His light only can be seen if people eyes wall (hijab) are open.
Hadis Allah's Hijab is light. If God reveals that light. Surely subuhat (radiance) of God's face will burn His creatures as far as His sight (HR Ahmad 19597 and Muslim 179)
Which mean if prophet Ibrahim pbuh cant burned in the fire because Allah made it cold. Surah Al Anbiya, 69. Allah said, O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham. So, those who are hijab open cant be burned too.
In surah Ar Rahman 26-27, Everyone upon the earth will perish. And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor
Mean Face of Allah cant be destroyed. But dont think Allah's face like human or creature same. Allah different from His creatures.
Surah Al Araaf 143 And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me (yourself) that I may look at You. Allah said. "you will not see Me but look at the mountain, if it should remain in place, then you will see Me". But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers.
So, when Allah said like this, prophet Musa pbuh will see if the mountain remain stay, mean like got his light image but dont know because too fast and powerful untill the mountain destroyed.
Prophet Muhammad pbuh also meet Allah in Israk Mikraj event. Some said prophet Muhammad cant see Allah because got too bright light with light wall or hijab. Some said prophet Muhammad can see

In conclusion. You will not see because not because none, but the time not yet revealed. Because we all are tested in earth to believe and people still got dirty heart.
