  1. LAWH AL-MAHFUZ AND THE ARSH: God's Quantum Architecture of Reality

โš ๏ธ NOTE: This text does not claim to present the final and absolute truth about the essence of God's creations and their functions, as this belongs to the realm of the unseen (Ghayb) โ€“ known only to God Almighty (Allah). The sole aim is to bring certain Qur'anic verses and Hadiths closer to the human mind through modern insights and comprehensible analogies. Absolute truth is known only to God Almighty.

โš ๏ธ TERMINOLOGICAL NOTES: The natural laws described by science (gravity, thermodynamics, entropy…) are not independent forces, but expressions of Sunnatullah โ€“ God's law in creation โ€“ and Taqdir, God's measure. In Islam, they are understood as Adatullah, the established ways of managing matter and energy. When we speak of physical mechanisms, we describe the technical causes and modes of executing God's Will, without denying the Creator as the sole and absolute Originator/Causer (Al-Musabbib).

INTRODUCTION: Tawhid, Code, and 'It from Bit'

In Islamic cosmology, the Lawh al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet) and the Arsh (The Throne) represent two fundamental entities of God's creation: the first is the record (code), and the second is the execution.
When we reinterpret these ancient concepts through the prism of modern science โ€“ especially quantum physics and information theory โ€“ a fascinating intellectual space opens up. The famous physicist John Wheeler posited the thesis "It from Bit," suggesting that every particle and force in the universe fundamentally originates from immaterial information. Islamic theosophy has claimed the same for centuries: before matter, there was the Word (Kalimah) and the Record (Kitab). This synthesis does not claim to explain the absolute truth โ€” for that belongs only to God Almighty โ€” but to bring His transcendent wisdom closer to the language of the 21st century, with strict adherence to Tawhid (Islamic monotheism).

๐Ÿ’พ LAWH AL-MAHFUZ: The Cosmic Database and Holographic Horizon

"Do you not know that Allah knows whatever is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed, that is in a Record (Lawh al-Mahfuz). Indeed, that, for Allah, is easy." (Al-Hajj, 22:70)

The Lawh al-Mahfuz is the ultimate cosmic database โ€“ the firmware of reality. It stores all the algorithms of existence: natural laws, biological patterns, and all potential outcomes. It is an active, living database containing Iradah Kawniyyah โ€” the universal will of the Almighty.

    1. Crystal Storage and Photonics

Hafiz At-Tabarani narrates from Ibn Abbas, r.a., a description that sounds astonishingly futuristic:
"Verily, Allah created the Preserved Tablet from a white pearl, its pages are of red ruby, its pen is light (nur), its writing is light…" (Ibn Kathir, Tafsir, 4/640)

In light of modern IT technologies, this perfectly matches the concept of optical data storage in crystals (like synthetic ruby or quartz). Unlike magnetic disks that degrade, data written by light into a crystal lattice is permanent, immune to heat and entropy. The Lawh al-Mahfuz is, therefore, the perfect quantum repository.

    2. The Holographic Principle

Why is it called a "Tablet" (a 2D surface)? Modern physics, through the Holographic Principle, postulates that all information about a three-dimensional universe is encoded on a two-dimensional boundary (horizon).

The Lawh al-Mahfuz functions as this primary informational horizon. It contains the "encoded depth" of the universe. The destruction of the material world on the Day of Judgment does not destroy the information on the Tablet โ€“ it remains preserved (Mahfuz), just as shattering a 3D hologram does not erase the recording on the film.

    3. System Kernel

Ibn Abbas narrates that at the beginning of the Tablet it states: "There is no true god but Allah…" This is the Kernel (core) of the operating system. All other laws of physics are "applications" running on top of this fundamental truth of Tawhid.

๐Ÿ’ป THE ARSH: Quantum Processor and the Zeno Effect

"Every day Allah has three hundred and sixty moments in which He creates and provides sustenance, causes death and gives life…" (Hadith, recorded by At-Tabarani)

If the Lawh al-Mahfuz is the code, the Arsh (Throne) is God's hardware โ€“ the central processing unit (CPU) that executes that code. Ibn Abbas says: "…and its record [the Tablet's] is connected to the Throne." This indicates an active System Bus that transfers data from the Database (Lawh) to the Processor (Arsh).

    1. Quantum Zeno Effect and Sustenance (Qayyumiyyah)

Quantum mechanics teaches us that a system changes or decays if it is not observed. When continuously observed, it "freezes" in a stable state โ€“ this is called the Quantum Zeno Effect.
The Arsh, as the place of manifestation of God's command and oversight, acts as the ultimate "Observer." Through those 360 moments a day, the Arsh constantly "refreshes" reality (Refresh rate), preventing the universe from reverting to chaos (decoherence). Reality is not static; it is re-created every moment by the command "Be!" (Kun).

    2. Energy Transducer

The Arsh is the boundary of the created world. It reflects Divine light through veils, generating the energy needed to maintain the universe, collapsing the wave functions of potential, and converting them into concrete destiny.

๐Ÿ’ง WATER AND KURSIYY: Superfluid Medium and Interface
Between the Arsh and our reality, two entities mediate: Water and the Kursiyy (Footstool).

    1. Celestial Water: Superfluidity of Information

Verses and traditions say that "His Throne was upon the water" (Hud, 7). We can conceptualize this water as a cosmic superfluid โ€“ a state of matter without friction or viscosity.
In an ordinary medium, a signal loses power. In a superfluid, information travels without resistance. Water acts as a quantum dielectric that absorbs the raw energy of the Arsh and transmits God's command to the farthest galaxies without data loss (lossless transmission) or noise.

    2. Kursiyy: Holographic Display

The Kursiyy functions as an operating interface and a kind of "3D printer of reality" that receives modulated signals from the Lawh al-Mahfuz, projecting them as manifest spacetime. Acting as a "screen" on which digital code is rendered in real-time โ€“ with a refresh rate of 360 moments โ€“ it transposes God's decree into the 4D chronotope. Its fundamental function of Hifz (preservation) actively stabilizes cosmic constants within that projection, thereby ensuring the structural integrity of the universe necessary for the existence of life.

    ๐ŸŒŒ SYNTHESIS: Ontological Simulation

The reality we experience is a projection of God's will.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Input: The eternal code in the Lawh al-Mahfuz (based on God's Knowledge – Ilm).
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Processing: Execution via the Arsh (based on God's Will – Iradah).
๐Ÿ•‹ Transmission: Transfer through superfluid Water without error.
๐ŸŒŒ Output: Manifestation within the Kursiyy (our Universe).
This system is the Perfect Quantum Computer. It produces no errors, suffers no entropy (heating), and operates in a state of absolute coherence. In it, past, present, and future are present as one eternal "NOW," while we, due to sequential processing, experience them as the flow of time.

โš ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ TAWHID: Crucial Note

Despite these powerful analogies, we must draw a clear line:
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Allah is not part of the system. He is not software, hardware, energy, or the "Universal Mind."
โ™พ๏ธ Ontological distinction: Just as the engineer who creates a computer is not made of silicon and does not live inside the processor, so too is God Almighty absolutely transcendent (above) His creations.
โš›๏ธ Instruments: The Lawh al-Mahfuz, Arsh, Water, and Angels are merely His creations and instruments, while He is Al-Khaliq (The Creator), the Only One who exists by Himself.
This architecture does not serve to "explain" God, but to marvel at the perfection of His creation. As the Qur'an says:
"While Allah created you and that which you do!" (As-Saffat, 96)
