📖 Quranic Ruling on Backbiting: Quran (49:12) prohibits spying and backbiting, comparing it to eating the flesh of a dead brother.
🍖 Backbiting as a Sin: Backbiting is considered a severe sin in Islam, equivalent to eating your dead brother's flesh, which is haram.
🕌 Prophet Muhammad’s Teachings: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explained backbiting as speaking about someone behind their back in a way they'd dislike, even if true.
❌ Backbiting vs. Slandering: If the statement is true, it's backbiting; if false, it's slandering. Both are prohibited.
📜 Quranic Reference: Surah Al-Humazah (104:1) condemns scandal-mongers and backbiters.
⚰ Graveyard Hadith: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentions two people in graves being punished: one for not being careful about urine, the other for causing division among people.
🚫 Conclusion: Both backbiting and slandering are prohibited in Islam based on Quranic verses and Hadith.
