  1. Assalamu Alaikum Sir Dr. Zakir Naik,

I am writing with a very heavy heart. A non-Muslim beloved person passed away, and since then my soul feels restless. I cannot stop thinking about him. I cry often,I cannot even study, I cannot sleep, not because of worldly attachment, but because I fear for his soul in the Hereafter. The thought that he might be suffering torments me deeply. At first I used to hold on to the thought that maybe we would meet again in Jannah, and that hope kept me going. But now I am terrified that he may not have been on faith, and I fear I can do nothing for him. That thought breaks me. I desperately need some hope. I feel helpless and deeply troubled. I want to do something, but I do not know what is correct according to the Deen.

    My questions are:

1] Is a Muslim allowed to pray for forgiveness or mercy for a deceased non-Muslim?

2] May I give charity in their name, even secretly, and hope that Allah may ease their state?

3] If I ask Allah to grant a portion of my good deeds (for example, 30{b0a4c3459d748be21bac5f71131ca12f9e4d4e44a40f45f66a7863e3cd56f013}) to them, is that sinful?

4] What will be the condition in the Hereafter of people who perhaps never properly received the message of Islam?

5] And most importantly: how can I control my emotions, this spiritual restlessness and grief, in a way that pleases Allah and brings me peace so I can live my life again?

I am sincerely seeking guidance and comfort because I cannot carry this pain alone.
